CapitaLand Kids Programme

CapitaLand Kids Programme (CKP) was launched to provide long term financial support for promising underprivileged children beyond their primary school education, CapitaLand Hope Foundation (CHF) tracks the growth and development of these children and to ensure that their access to education will not be compromised by their disadvantaged family backgrounds.

Singapore

Starting from 2012, CHF commits to support the education needs of underprivileged children, who are also known as CapitaKids, in a 10-year long programme. This programme is in collaboration with HELP FSC (Help Every Lone Parent Family Service Centre) and AMK FSC (Ang Mo Kio Family Service Centre) where CapitaLand Kids, aged seven to 12, from single-parent families are supported under this programme. CapitaLand staff volunteer as mentors to the kids, where mentors would meet and interact with them on an ongoing basis to build rapport and provide guidance and support.

Earlier in 2011, CKP was rolled out to benefit 100 Northlight School students from disadvantaged families. Besides having their basic school and living expenses taken care of, students were offered mentorship by CapitaLand staff and internship opportunities with CapitaLand Group of companies.

China

The CapitaLand Kids Programme in China shares the same aim of realizing the full potential of outstanding and gifted underprivileged students from CapitaLand Hope Schools.

Under the CapitaLand Kids Programme @ Arts Scheme, which is started in partnership with top Chinese arts academy, selected artistically-gifted Grade 5 & 6 underprivileged students from CapitaLand Hope Schools will receive CHF’s support from junior high school to tertiary level education. The objective is to provide the students an opportunity to realise their full artistic potential, as well as to contribute to the preservation of traditional Chinese culture and heritage.

The CapitaLand Kids Programme @ Education Bursary Scheme, implemented in partnership with the China Youth Development Foundation, is set up to provide financial assistance for academically-gifted Grade 5 & 6 underprivileged students from CapitaLand Hope Schools to complete their senior high school education.
